Hello all, many of you have learned that I have lost 35 pounds going from 209 to 174 pounds over the last year and a half using the Shaklee 180 Weight Loss Program. It did play a big part in my weight loss success, but consistent exercise and portioning my meals also played a big part in my weight loss success.
I will share my success with you all, you don't have to do exactly what I did, but I think this will help guide you in the right direction to create a better you!
1. Find a weight loss program and stick to it. I chose the Shaklee 180 Weight Loss Program because of the reputation of this company(57 years) and the clinical studies that backed this program. Shaklee is not a fly-by-night weight loss system compared to Herbalife and ViSalus, so do your research wisely.
2. Find an exercise program and stick to it! I found an exercise program through a friend who is a Beachbody Coach. I took his recommended workout and tied it in with my own exercises routine and created a road map for my success. Walk, run, do yoga, keep it moving. Personalize your workout, do want you like to do. I started my routine by purchasing the 10 Minute Trainer from Zilla Fitness, and sticking to the 30 day workout. Have fun with it, and most of all, find a support team or friends and family looking to make the same changes. Make a spreadsheet, check off what you have accomplished on your sheet each day! This helps keep YOU accountable for yourself. The more you exercise, the less sickness and disease you will have.
3. Portion your meals. We all know fruits a vegetables are perfect during a weight loss program, but what about your other meals? Plan ahead and portion your meals. If you look on a box, it does have a recommended portion for the food. This helps in counting calories to keep yourself accountable. So if you have that smartphone, throw a calorie counter app on it. Most of them are free. This is the prefect way to track your exercise and calories. That's another reason I love the Shaklee 180 app because I am able to track both food and exercise. NO FAST FOOD AND SODA! You will feel so much better and full of energy by cutting out these two items. I have made it a goal to have 1 12oz soda a week. Setting your limits and goals from the start will help you succeed!
So in closing, I gave you some ideas to make a better you, but it is up to you to make these lifestyle changes. My picture proves what dedication and hard work can accomplish! You can do it!
