Shaklee Helps Headache Sufferer

Did you ever have a headache?
Now, I am not talking about the take two aspirins and its gone type of headache. I am not talking about the few too many recreational inebriating beverages the night before. I am talking about the type headache that takes over your life. A headache that you talk to. A headache whose pain is so intense that it causes you to lose focus on the rest of your life. A headache that reaches down into the pain center of your body and turns loose all of the available pain at one instant. It consumes your entire being. A headache that you give a name to. A name you would probably not use in public. You lose sight of everything but the pain. That’s the headache that I am talking about.
Now, let me ask again. Did you ever have a headache?
If you did, what did you name it?
Mine had two names. ‘It’ was my favorite name. ‘It’ is coming again! Here ‘It’ is! I wish ‘It’ would hurry up and hit me so I can get rid of ‘It’. When I wasn’t around people, there was another name that I used, which I will leave to your imagination.
‘It’ comes out of no where. One moment, everything is fine. Then, wham. A stabbing, searing pain injected just behind the right temple and in front of the right ear. Your right eye begins to water immediately. The right side of your nose begins to run. The whole right side of your head is separating from the rest of your body. You pick up the wiffle bat and begin beating your head where the pain is. Or, as you are thrashing around on the ground like a fish out of water, you scream, “Why don’t you leave me alone!” Now, that’s a headache, mate.
If you have ever had an experience like this, then you need to understand that you are not alone. You have a lot of company in the land of headaches. A group that ranges from corporate executives to soldiers, and many, many more.
‘It’ is called a cluster headache. When I finally had a name for it, I thought there was a chance that I could be normal again. Fat chance. From the late eighties, these headaches have taken over my life. Because of them, I retired from the military. I left positions where I was a plant manager and a financial planner. I stopped coaching and basically stopped doing everything that I loved. They will go away for a while, or at least become less bothersome and I try to start over. But, invariably, they come back. And, each time they come back, they come back stronger. They are more painful and occur more often. That is, until now.
I have tried several therapies to win this battle over my cluster headaches. I was an outpatient at the Diamond Headache Clinic for many years. They used drug therapies, bio-feedback, and other approaches. I have tried acupuncture, massage therapy, and nutrition. Nothing worked for any length of time. I have had the most success with my CPAP machine. One of the tests I took found that I have sleep apnea. When using the CPAP, I have considerable periods of time when the headaches hibernate. Unfortunately, when they awake, they awake like a sleeping bear.
That brings us to now. In September, 2008, I started using a new product developed by Shaklee. I have been using Shaklee nutritional supplements for several years and have experienced many improvements to my overall health, except the headaches. While they nutrition made me more capable of dealing with them, they didn’t go away, as we had hoped they would in the beginning.
On 08/08/08, Shaklee introduced Vivix. An Anti-Aging product designed to slow down the aging process, and in some cases, reverse it. That sounded good to me. I am still very active and could use whatever help I could to stay that way. I conducted a little experiment. I ran some measured distances, and timed myself. The distances were one mile and two and a half miles. I ran them multiple times and recorded my stats. The first week in September, I started the Vivix. I used it for five days before testing myself again. I found that I could run faster with less pain. That excited me. I continued monitoring my performance with great results. But then, I noticed something. ‘It’ was gone. ‘It’ was no where to be found. Not only did I not have pain, but I didn’t have any residual pressures or indications that ‘It’ would be back. I kept this to myself. I didn’t want to jinx it. After about three weeks, I told my wife, then my sponsor in Shaklee. He wanted me to shout it to the world, but I had some reservations. ‘It’ had been gone before, only to return with a vengeance. What happened next would seal the deal.
I had been using Vivix for about two months. In November, we received our autoship, no Vivix. I didn’t panic. Shaklee is always good to get it to you as soon as possible. One Week. Nothing. I used the last dose of Vivix. No big deal. It will be here soon. At 3:10 in the afternoon, on a Thursday, about two and a half days after my last dose, I was on hold with AT&T. I felt a pressure where ‘It’ used to strike. I shook it off. No big deal. Then, it hit. The strongest, fastest pain I had ever had. Out of no where, which is how it always works, ‘It’ was back. And, ‘It’ was mad. I threw down the phone, startling my co-workers, and stormed out of the office. ‘It’ and I were about to have a conversation. Then, I stopped in my tracks. I had been out of Vivix for almost three days. ‘Could it be?’
I called my sponsor. He was out as well. I called several Shaklee friends. No one had it until I talked to Cathy. She said to come on over. Before I left, my sponsor, Marty Frederick, called and said his shipment came in. This was Friday morning. I drove to his house and he gave me a bottle. I drove home and took it immediately. By Sunday morning, ‘It’ was reduced to a slight pressure and by Monday, it was gone.
I have taken the measures necessary to ensure that I never run out of Vivix again. It feels like I have my life back. And, just in time. There is a part of my feels like the legendary Rip Van Winkle. I may have been awake for the last twenty years, but it has been a blur of events that were related to ‘It’ in some way, shape or form. Vivix has given me the ability to focus again. And, I am focusing on sharing the good news of all of the Shaklee products, especially, Vivix.
Do you have something in your life that seems to have taken it over? Maybe it is headaches. Maybe it is diabetes. Maybe it is cardiac or neurologically driven. It may be a lack of energy or concentration. I would suggest to you that Vivix may hold your key to freedom. I know it did for me. No one even hinted that this was even possible. Yet here I stand pain free for the first time in over twenty years. If I were you, I might just give this a try.
I truly hope a miracle finds you today.  One found me on that first week in September, 2008. And is my wife glad that it did.
