US Olympian Caroline Lind’s Favorite Shaklee Products

We love U.S. National Rowing Team member Caroline Lind. Not only did she compete at the 2008 Beijing Games and 2012 London Games, helping the team win gold in the women’s eight at both events, but her commitment to be the best that she can for the team is something we can all take inspiration from.
Even better, Caroline’s a fan of Shaklee and shared with us how a couple of her favorite products are helping to make a difference.
“Being a rower for Team USA requires me to be up early. In order to maximize my sleep, I try to make my morning routine as efficient as possible! The Shaklee 180™ Meal-in-a-Bars are my “go to” nutrition in the morning before a 2- to 3-hour practice. As an endurance athlete, these are the only bars that I have found that actually help keep me feeling full and give me the energy I need to perform without having a full meal weighing me down. I always follow up my morning workout with a Shaklee 180 Snack Bar to aide in recovery.  It’s the perfect bar to replenish my glycogen stores in the short 30-minute window post workout, but I don’t ever find myself too full for a breakfast meal a little later. My favorite flavor is chocolate peanut butter but I love them all.
“Over the years I have struggled with getting all the nutrition I need because of all of my hard training. Getting enough Iron has been my main struggle. Iron is so crucial for me as an athlete because it allows my body to create red blood cells that are vital to taking oxygen to my muscles. Before using Vitalizer vitamins I tried iron supplements alone but they really wrecked my digestive system. The vitamins supplied in Shaklee Vitalizer™ Women seem to have a perfect balance so my body can better absorb the vitamins and I feel like I can perform at my peak.”
